Welcome Hustlers!
Welcome to Melbourne Central Catholic Athletics!
Welcome to Melbourne Central Catholic Athletics!
Athletics is an important part of the MCC experience, providing opportunities for student-athletes to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically. Through competition, we strive for excellence while living out the values of our Catholic faith.
Our athletic culture is built on F.A.I.T.H.:
- F – Fortitude: Face challenges with courage and resilience.
- A – Accountability: Take ownership of your actions and responsibilities.
- I – Integrity: Do what is right, always.
- T – Trust: Build relationships through honesty and respect.
- H – Hustle: Give your best effort every day.
These values guide our decisions, shape our character, and define what it means to be a Hustler.
As an MCC student-athlete, you represent your teammates, coaches, school, and faith. We challenge you to compete with character, lead with humility, and honor God in all that you do.
Welcome to the MCC Athletics family.
Go Hustlers!

Head Cheer Coach
Coach Harnden has had the pleasure of working with the Melbourne Central Catholic cheer team for six years. All three of her children attended MCC, and she has been a part of the Hustler Community since 2012. She was previously a high school teacher, and is grateful to continue to have an impact on students through coaching.
Cheer and dance have always been a significant part of her life. At MCC, she enjoys teaching cheers, perfecting dance routines, and creating new choreography. Watching the girls work together to develop new stunt skills and achieve success is very rewarding for her. Coach Harnden's favorite part of coaching is seeing the girls gain confidence through cheer and watching that confidence transfer to other aspects of their lives.

Head Baseball Coach
Coach Tom Dooley is currently the longest tenured head coach in any high school sport in Brevard County and he’s never missed a day of work at MCC, exceeding Ripken by 14 years and still going. Coach Dooley’s culture of winning at MCC is a simple one. Get rid of excuses and just play the game. When succeeding three out of 10 times is considered exceptional, baseball is a game of overcoming failure.
Dooley says there are no excuses for not hustling, dressing properly, being a good teammate, being early, having controlled emotions, and having fun. Lastly, everything is “sweat earned.” In other words, he asks his players to work hard but smart on and off the field at all times.
The Hustler baseball program victories include the 2013 Class 3A state championship, as well as multiple FHSAA regional appearances.
