College Partnerships
MCC partners with Florida Tech to allow qualified juniors and seniors to begin their college career while enrolled in high school. This collaboration enables MCC students to enroll at Florida Tech and earn up to 18 credit hours at no additional tuition cost. MCC students attend classes during the school day on the Florida Tech campus in collaboration with their traditional high school classes at MCC. Students may use Florida Tech credits to fulfill MCC graduation requirements.
Program requirements include:
- Admission into Florida Tech
- Overall GPA of 3.8 GPA
- Total minimum SAT score of 1100 to include minimum score of 550 on evidence-based reading/writing and minimum score of 550 on the math portion OR 24 composite ACT score
MCC partners with Barry University to allow qualified juniors and seniors to begin their college career by taking college-level theology courses while enrolled in high school. This collaboration enables MCC students to enroll at Barry University and earn additional credit hours at no additional tuition cost MCC students attend classes on MCC's campus during the regular school day.
Program requirements include:
- An A in theology coursework
- One theology faculty recommendation
- SAT minimum of a 440 in Math and 440 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing OR 19 composite ACT score
MCC partners with Saint Leo University to allow qualified juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. This collaboration enables MCC students to enroll in Business and College Math courses and earn additional credit hours at no additional cost. Through Saint Leo University's commitment to academic excellence and student success, MCC students gain access to high-quality courses, experienced on-campus MCC faculty, and a seamless transition into college-level learning. This partnership empowers students to explore their interests, build confidence, and graduate from MCC with a head start on their college education.
Program requirements include:
- Must apply and be granted admission into Saint Leo
- Overall GPA of 3.2 (unweighted)
- Standardized testing scores:
- PSAT/NMSQT reading and writing sections 490 and Mathematics sections 480
- Pre-ACT scores in reading of 22, English 18 and Math 22
- SAT reading score 24, writing and language score of 25 and math score of 24
- ACT reading score of 19, English score of 17 and math score of 19
- Satisfy any course prerequisites
- Meet any additional criteria set by Saint Leo as a postsecondary institution
