Strategic Plan

The future of Catholic school education depends on the entire Catholic community embracing wholeheartedly the concept of stewardship of time, talent, and treasure, and translating stewardship into concrete action.
In August 2024, 47 members of the MCC community gathered to start the process of developing a three-year strategic plan for the school. Led by Chris Mominey from Avanti Advisors, the group learned about the process we would use to establish goals for the school to achieve, goals based on the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). Chris then talked about the role of each our planning committees:
- Mission and Catholic Identity
- Governance and Leadership
- Academic Excellence
- Operational Vitality – Business Operations (Facility and Finance)
- Operational Vitality – Mission Advancement (Development, Enrollment, Marketing)
Participants then worked in committees from August 2024 through February 2025, to develop goals and strategies for each. Their work, detailed in the following pages, is a wonderful tool that will help us maintain the planning culture that has been a long-time part of MCC.
The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops noted: “The future of Catholic school education depends on the entire Catholic community
embracing wholeheartedly the concept of stewardship of time, talent, and treasure, and translating stewardship into concrete action.”
This is the very essence of school planning.
Thank you to our team members and to Chris and Avanti Advisors for your efforts on behalf of Melbourne Central Catholic High School.
