Melbourne Central Catholic

Athletics > Expectations of Parents

The Hustler Athletic Programs would find it difficult to survive without the many roles our dedicated parents perform. The Athletic Department is grateful for our many volunteers. We ask that you get involved in helping at the gate, in the concession stand, fundraising, and cheering on our Hustlers.

Each coach will have a meeting to communicate his/her philosophy, expectations, practice schedules, etc. Parents should know of practices and games over any holiday period. Parents will be made aware of any disciplinary action taken against your child.

The Hustler athletic department encourages our parents to enjoy the experience of being a parent of an athlete. Being a positive influence and providing support at all times is a tremendous way to help the individual players, the team, and the coaches.
Especially attempt to be positive when times are difficult because of loses or lack of playing time.

It is important that parents show support for the coaching staff, especially in front of athletes. Please discuss any issues with a coach in private. Please do not approach a coach before or after a game or practice. It is best to schedule an appointment with the coach either over the phone or by e-mail. If a coach cannot be reached, please contact the Athletic Director, Mike Riazzi (321-727-0288) to assist you.

Contacting any potential student-athlete about the possibility of attending Melbourne Central catholic can be considered recruiting. A parent, alumni, current students, coaches, and faculty are considered representatives of our school. Potential student-athletes should be directed to the administration for any information concerning possible enrollment.
