November 27, 2012The Hustlers have done it again! This holiday season, students in Theology classes prayed for and collected food and donations for local families who could use a little love this holiday.
The students collected enough holiday food (including turkeys and all the fixings) to fill 15 laundry baskets and donated over $500! In addition to the food collected in our classrooms, the “Feed a Family Foundation,” in coordination with Mrs. Avalos, donated an additional 15 Thanksgiving dinners towards our food drive. Melbourne Central Catholic was also blessed to receive additional Thanksgiving dinners from Ascension Catholic Church, in coordination with Mrs. Vilardebo. When things were all said and done, MCC was able to provide nearly 50 families with an opportunity to share in a memorable holiday.
We are so grateful to be blessed with such generous hearts on campus and in our community!!
